Sign ups start in August 2024

Join us for a 2.5-day camp aimed at pushing your limits both on and off the bike! Originally created for the BikesOnline Race Team, we're now bringing this specialized training to you. This camp is tailored for riders at the intermediate to pro level who have prior racing experience and are eager to fine-tune their skills.

Snacks and water will be provided throughout the day and lunch will be provided on the last day.

Tentative Agenda 

Day 1 : 8-930am Bike fit and best practices / 930-11am Skills drills / 11-12pm Intro to cornering / 12-1pm Lunch (BYOL) / 1-3pm Cone drills with timers 

Day 2 : 8-930am Bike specific conditioning drills / 930-11am On trail bike body separation / 11-1pm Run timers on the trail / 1-2pm Lunch (BYOL) / 2-4pm Intro to Jumping 

Day 3 : 8-930am Bike specific conditioning drills / 930-12pm Jump clinic / 12-130 Lunch provided

Course Description: Take your mountain biking skills to new heights with our Intermediate Mountain Bike Jump Clinic! This hands-on clinic is designed for riders with mountain biking experience who are ready to progress to the next level of airborne maneuvers. Whether you're a trail enthusiast or an aspiring downhill rider, this clinic will empower you with the confidence and techniques to navigate jumps and drops with finesse.

Key Learning Objectives:

  1. Jump Fundamentals: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the physics and mechanics behind successful jumps, covering take-offs, mid-air control, and smooth landings.

  2. Body Positioning: Master the art of proper body positioning in the air to maximize stability and control. Learn to adjust your body for various jump sizes and styles.

  3. Technique Refinement: Hone your jumping technique through focused drills and exercises. Develop a consistent approach to different jump features commonly found on mountain bike trails.

  4. Risk Management: Understand and practice safety measures, risk assessment, and decision-making when approaching jumps. Learn to assess trail features and choose appropriate lines.

  5. Trail Integration: Apply your newfound skills on actual trails under the guidance of experienced instructors. Build confidence as you progressively tackle jumps on different terrains.

  6. Progression Strategies: Develop a progression plan to continue advancing your skills beyond the clinic. Receive feedback and tips on how to continually refine your jumping abilities.

Location: Black Mountain Area / Exact location will be provided at check out.

What to bring: Insure your Mountain Bike is in good working condition, helmet required and appropriate personal protection, knee and elbow pads highly recommend. Enough water for the day.
